A Process Specific Approach
Candidates for office are often asked about their stance on “issues” without recognizing that even well intentioned bills can become compromised. A bill that attacks liberty, no matter how popular, calls for bold action. Do the ends justify the means? Any well intentioned tyrant will tell you, “yes.”

Who is Kristie?
Though new to Rome, Georgia, I have been involved in advocacy and helping people be heard in the legislative process for 25+ years. Within a couple of months of settling in the home we purchased in March of 2025, I found myself using my skills as a co-founder of the Oppose Atlas Data Center, Battey coalition. The people of Rome & Floyd County are smart and active. They are seeking a representative that will meet with them, listen, and act on their behalf. I’m honored to be asked to run to be their State House Representative and serve them in the Gold Dome of Atlanta.
For 3 years, I’ve offered commentary through my Substack, Sword & Shield. Focusing on my advocacy in Georgia, I write about my wrestle with how to engage in this spiritual battle in the political arena.
In December of 2020, our family made a sudden decision to relocate to Georgia from Bangor, Maine, our home of 20 years. We know the consequences of bad policy decisions and how they impact the freedom of families.
